Family Owned
We have been family owned since 1975.
On July 3, 1975 Eugene Morton and Daniel Brand, the developers of the band-type beveling machine established Bemco Enterprises.
During their partnership Daniel Brand passed away from heart problems.
Eugene Morton purchased his portion of ownership from Daniel's widow Betty Jo Brand.
During the life of Bemco Enterprises Eugene Morton took on a new partner Mike Kaufmann. At the end of 1982 they separated the company. Mike Kaufmann kept Bemco and the oilfield product side of the company while Eugene Morton kept the beveling machine side and formed Morton Mfg. Co. Inc..
On June 10, 1994 Eugene made an agreement with H&M Pipe Beveling Machine Company that they would be the sole stocking distributor of the band machine. At the age of 82 Eugene decided to retire from the shop and sell the company.
On January 1, 2020 Eugene's daughter and son-in-law (Jon & Laury Lashley) purchased the company and it was renamed Pipecutter Mfg. LLC.
Jon Lashley had worked for Morton Mfg. since 2001 and ran the shop prior to the purchase of the company.
